The Porous Concrete for Rigid Pavement

چکیده

Abstract Roads play an important role as a connection between locations and can facilitate the efficient mobility of people's economic activities. Five tests are involved in evaluating porous concrete, such slump test, compressive strength permeability flexure load capacity test (loading test). Meanwhile, there three types soil: peat, clay, hard. The measured average 24.17-27.36 MPa. According to speed water infiltration on concrete rigid pavement was 20 seconds clay soil 55.344 peat soil, with large areas drained 346.185 cm 2 5 litres used, whereas it 6.554 flow area 288.75 used hard soil. Loading Test conducted 10-ton. maximum difference deflection 1-2 cm. In addition, were no cracks thickness 15 different conditions. A track or accommodate payload 10 tons.

Concrete Block Pavement for Low Volume Roads

Concrete block pavement (CBP) is a durable pavement for carrying light as well as heavy loads, and it is being used widely for construction of city streets, parking places, gas stations, container stacking yards, residential areas and low volume roads. This paper presents the findings of a laboratory investigation on structural behaviour of CBP. Plate load and Accelerated Pavement tests were ca...

Sensitivity Analysis of Principal Stresses in Concrete Slab of Rigid Pavement Made From Recycled Materials

Complex sensitivity analysis of stresses in a concrete slab of the real type of rigid pavement made from recycled materials is performed. The computational model of the pavement is designed as a spatial (3D) model, is based on a nonlinear variant of the finite element method that respects the structural nonlinearity, enables to model different arrangements of joints, and the entire model can be...

Measuring and Analyzing Pavement Texture Concrete Pavement Surface Characteristics Program

Introduction Pavement texture is defined by the irregularities on a pavement surface that deviate from an ideal, perfectly flat surface. As shown in Figure 1, the World Road Association (PIARC) has established standard categories of texture, classified by wavelength. These categories include microtexture (wavelengths up to 0.5 mm), macrotexture (0.5 to 50 mm), megatexture (50 to 500 mm), and ro...

Determining the Relative Importance of Parameters Affecting Concrete Pavement Thickness

Spending costs in construction of road pavements has turned this subject into one of the significant points in transportation infrastructure of countries. Concrete slabs consider as a paving method with ability of reducing the rehabilitation needs. Therefore, to manage costs and optimize the thickness of concrete pavements, recognizing the amount of determinative factors’ influence will be requ...

Performance of Continuously Reinforced Concrete Pavement Containing Recycled Concrete Aggregate

In 1995, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) began reconstruction in Houston on a section of IH-10 with continuously reinforced concrete pavement (CRCP). The unique aspect of this project was the use of crushed concrete as both coarse and fine aggregates in the new concrete. No virgin aggregates were used. The primary objectives of this study were to evaluate (1) the material propert...
